In the Bosch Universal Plus mixer, Bosch recommends using the wire whips and batter whisks for pourable batters, not heavier mixes. The standard-equipment dough hook works great (and needs to be used) for very heavy loads of cookie dough. For moderate batches of cookie dough, these Cookie Paddles are ideal. These new cake paddles with metal whip drive attach to the Bosch Universal Plus (or older style Bosch Classic) mixer, for making cake and quick bread batter as well as other pourable batters and frosting. They let you make better cake because they avoid incorporating too much air into the batter, which causes cakes to fall during baking. The NEW LS1 Large Slicer Shredder accessory fits directly onto the mixing bowl of the Bosch Universal mixer, providing a huge 6.5 quart batch capacity. The LS1 Slicer/Shredder processes foods with top-mounted disks as you feed them down its chute and includes three disks: Shredding/Grating (reversible for coarse & fine), Slicing (reversible for thick & thin), and Fine Grating. Additional disks are also available.

This 70-mesh flour sifter has an 8 cup capacity and mounts on the mixer bowl of the Universal Plus. Starting with whole grain flour, the sifter separates the bran, leaving very fine flour that's ideal for making pastries, cakes, and cookies. When you purchase the Meat Grinder attachment for the Bosch Universal mixer, it includes a 4.5mm disk, a good size for making hamburger. (The millimeter size refers to the diameter of the holes in the disk.) The small 2mm disk is for mincing. For large chunks, use the 8 or 13mm disks. Note that meat grinder disks are also referred to as meat grinder plates.

This adjustable pasta roller attachment for Bosch Universal mixer makes perfect lasagna noodles, as well as preparing dough strips to be run through cutters (separately available) for other types of noodles. All metal food-contact parts of the pasta roller are made of stainless steel.

Tip: Be sure your meat is chilled to near freezing (but with none of it actually frozen) before grinding. This both reduces the load on the motor and improves the quality of your ground meat.

This 6.5 qt. stainless bowl (model MUZ6ER1) holds about 14 lbs. of dough and has a special dough hook that drives from the bottom of the bowl. It comes with its own excellent dough hook and provides a little extra dough capacity because there is no center column. This stainless bowl also includes splash ring and center cover. This locking, 6.5 qt. bowl for the Bosch Universal Plus mixer holds about 10 lbs. of dough and has a polypropylene center column, enabling the Universal's standard wire whisks and dough hook (as well as the accessory cookie paddles and bowl scraper) to be used. The Dough Glide pops over the top of the mixing bowl's drive shaft. The most common reason to use one of these is that with some recipes, dough that gets between the top of the column and the bottom of the dough hook hub can blacken, and that's prevented by the Dough Glide.
