Description

Deluxe Aebleskiver Pan

Some consider Danish Aebleskivers a breakfast pancake; some a dessert pastry, but this much is for sure: As hard as Aebleskiver is to spell, they're even harder to stop eating! The flavorful dough can be fried with a piece of apple inserted in the center or served with apple sauce or apple butter — Aebleskivers take their name from their fondness for apples. Fruit jam's another time-honored topping. At Pleasant Hill Grain we have a weakness for Mapeline syrup on ours.

Deluxe cast iron pan with wood handle: holes are 2.25" diameter and 1" deep. Weight 5.5 lbs. Overall length 16.5". Pan diameter 8.5" and height 1.75". Comfortable cool-touch wood handle. (Wood handle is removable if you want to season the pan in your oven.) Our favorite Aebleskiver pan!

Aebleskiver recipes included with pan. If you haven't yet experienced Aebleskiver... it's time to stop missing out!

  • “Dealing with Pleasant Hill Grain is a breath of fresh air! Dependable, quality products, great customer care!”

Use & Care

First, wash your new pan using hot, soapy water.

Season your cast iron pan before using by coating with vegetable oil (peanut, grapeseed or canola) over the inside surface up to the rim.

Put the pan on the stove top over moderate heat and remove when the oil begins to smoke.

Let pan cool and wipe off excess oil. Pan is ready for use.

To clean, use very hot water and a scrubbing brush, then dry. If you use soap you will need to re-season the pan after washing it.

To store, spread a light coating of oil on inside surface of pan.
